Mark is the earliest of the four Gospels. It contains the teachings of Peter, which should be considered the teaching of all the apostles at the time. Surely they taught the same doctrine and shared notes of their studies. They did not live in isolation from one another.

Mark will demonstrate the beginning stages of the studies of the apostles. His commentary will be the least sophisticated in handling the mystery. John will be the most proficient.
