Greek and Hebrew

It obviously has taken some effort on your part to contribute what you have and in no way do I want to disparage or discourage that. I just do not see the connections you make between the hidden symbolic meaning of Hebrew letters and words and their relation to the message of the New Testament. I agree that Christ is seen in some way on almost every page of Scripture and how the Bible can be understood from a Hebrew perspective. But I am also familiar with the attempt many exegetes have made to place the Hebrew language and rabbinic interpretations above or in competition with the Greek NT. For example some claim there was a Hebrew version of Matthew's gospel before the Greek was copied. For whatever His reasons God chose the Greek language to communicate that portion of His revelation that involved His Son and the Church. History is clear on that point and how the Greek language and culture united the ancient world since Alexander the Great. In the discussion forums there is a thread dealing with the Septuagint versus Masoretic text debate of the Old Testament. When Jesus and the Apostles quoted the Old Testament they would invariably use the LXX for whatever reasons. While the Hebrew text we presently have comes from the 10th century and many scholars assert that it has been amended by the rabbinic scribes in places to exclude the Christian message, those in the Hebrew roots movement continue to claim that the Church has somehow lost the full meaning of the Bible because of neglecting the Hebrew. Augustine's neoplatonism and hermeneutics notwithstanding, Greek was the lingua franca of virtually all Christian exegetes and scholars before him and almost all of them were educated in the classical tradition as well as some in Judaism like Paul. Perhaps to demonstrate the value and authenticity of what you are proposing, please show me from Paul's writings examples of Hebrew letters symbolizing New Testament concepts. I also believe in sensus plenior so I remain open to learning something new. I would also ask you to explain the text of Psa. 22:16 as an example of LXX vs. MT credibility.
